Meet the Trustees

Morvern Community Trust meets every quarter to discuss the Trust’s organisation, our financial status and current funding applications. In 2025, we introduced a new workflow system and fast-track approach to micro-funding. These changes mean we now process loan and grant requests on a year-round basis. MCT Trustees can stay in role for a maximum of ten consecutive years. We have a maximum limit of eight Trustees and a minimum of five. All Trustees and Office-Bearers have their permanent homes in Morvern. Working with MCT is a voluntary role; our Clerk is the only paid team member. If you are interested in volunteering with MCT as a Trustee when we next have a vacancy, please drop us a line and share any background info you think may be helpful. Dr Susan Taylor, vice-chair

I was the resident GP in Lochaline until 2022, and continue to work as a locum GP in other Highland communities.  I helped to set up the original Morvern Community Trust and am delighted to continue as a trustee for this organisation that has provided grants to such a wide range of activities, businesses and community groups.  I enjoy getting out and about walking and cycling, and swimming all year round.  Knitting, sewing and woodworking occupy my time when the weather is damp.

Beth Revill, Trustee

I’ve been living & working in Lochaline for the past three years. I’m a teacher in the primary school and have been teaching for a total of seven years now. I moved to Lochaline from Glasgow with my husband, Bradley, and our French Bulldog, Guido. We made the change as we love the outdoors and wanted to experience life closer to nature in the Scottish Highlands. We love the change in pace and being part of a close-knit community. I enjoy being part of MCT as I feel that the trust can positively impact local people’s lives.

Heather pearson, trustee

I moved to Morvern in 2021 and have been in a whirlwind of writing, renovation, woodland management and learning about the community here ever since. I became a Trustee for MCT in 2024. Social justice and equality issues are important to me, so I value the opportunity to make a positive difference in local folk’s lives. I also run Morvern Writing Workshops and volunteer on the committee of De Tha Dol? (What’s Going On?) , the brilliant local magazine for all things Ardgour, Morvern, Moidart and Ardnamurchan.
